This is a letter from our Sister Parish. Cari is the Director of the Mission in Mexico.
Translation:
Nov. 8, 2005
Dear Cari,
Forgive the paper and the penmanship, you know how I am a little careless. I came unexpectedly and it is logical that I did not find you (at home.)
I hope that you are fine along with all those who work in the Mission.
Receive a greeting from this community of Peto, especially from Katy, Nico and Angel. Through your support, we are grateful for the help that came to us from the Sister Parish, to which we ask you to make known our most sincere gratitude. Thanks to their support, we have been able to get a NEW pick up truck, a "Ranger," a 2005 model, completely new. Your donation was the great base. The truck cost 157,400. pesos as you can see in the receipt. So, it was
92,000. from your donation
45,000. from a bull fight the parish did as a fundraiser
77,000. from a food fair
And the balance we borrowed so we would not have to pay any interest and we will pay it back little by little.
We always pray for all of you through the intercession of the Most Holy Virgin Mary whether she be of Mercy or the Virgin of the Star.
We pray for the entire parish in a special way for all those who have written to us whose names because there are so many, I will omit but I will not forget.
The invitation is standing for you to come and get to know Peto and the truck.
Greetings to the pastor who so generously supports my prayers.
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you
God bless you and shower His graces on all of you.
With affection,
Fr. Melchor
